yahoo yahoo boys

it's quite alarmingly how the number of yahoo yahoo boys operating is on the increase ,if u browse at cyber cafe's like i do it's quite hard to come across a dude that isn't trying to scam some unknowing stranger...probably looking for love or something else.

These guys probably know-scratch that..they know every dating site that exists on the internet..they've even taken it from another level and have actually delved into scamming gay men,lesbians looking for love on the internet.They really do their homework i must say.

They look for love messages,love quotes on the internet and copy and paste it to these foreigners who have no idea that the person claiming to be 'rebecca whitney' from ohio is one 'jegede lasisi' occupying the face me i face you in ajegunle.

And the crazy things they do..It's not uncommon to hear guys mimick a woman's voice when talking to their respective maga's abroad.Most times it's really hilarious listening to them talking like that and am thinking isn't it quite obvious that it's a dude talking.

They search the internet for the most attractive pictures(so be careful where u post ur pics-thats if ur attractive and all) and use the pictures to pose as theirselves for horny old men who just can't resist a hot bod.

At one point the most used picture for scams where genevieve nnaji's and rita dominics pics but i guess after being used too much some of their victims finally caught a wake up...and now it's random pics on the net.

The most annoying thing about all this is that after they do pull of the scam and get the money instead of using it to elevate their situation...they use it to acquire cars they don't need,clothes they shouldnt be buying and partying like no tommorow.While their family is probably suffering in a one room apartment..jegede is cruising lag picking random chicks.

They dont even want to get a regular job anymore,they invest all their dough and time on scamming others.They spend their dough buying like 20hours of browsing time on a daily basis.And they all have the same excuses ' the situation of the country drove them to it'..Lets hear word jare.

Alot of people are out there going through as tough a time as you but they get up and go find a honest job.Thats another persons hard earned money your tryig to scam him of do u really think whatever you use the money for eventually will turn out good.Really?

It's really crazy..and i kid u not.Go to a cybercafe and just try and check it out for urself..and u'd be as shocked as i am.

These people really give us Nigerians a bad name and it needs to be put a stop to before they even do more damage.Yeah in the beginning EFCC were curtailing it but now...all you need to do is bribe an EFCC official(well some) and he lets you off the hook.They need to take it to another level and come up with stricter ways of putting and end to the scourge that are yahoo yahoo boys.

I always have the same response to this -- ill-gotten money is never spent in peace.

Well, I know it's tough for a # of people...
But those people scamming honest people will surely reap what they sow, in due time.

I think I better consider taking my picture off Hi5.

I had a 10hours lecture from my pap on Yahoo Yahoo. If u hear am,U no go near am! I believe strongly in Karma.I ain't perfect but i don't hurt people intentionally! Never.

Life is hard for all. Those who turn to crime are just using an excuse because that is what they really want to do. Excellent post- ex. As for EFCC- they are up to no good. Initially they looked very promising but now they are just dogs for anybody who has a grudge, and wants it to be settled. I hope one day Nigeria will stop all this corruption. It gives honest Nigerians a bad name worldwide.

who will bell the cat?
the evil of "yahoo yahoo boys" will only stop if the government recognized and is able to quantify the monetary damage the practice does to the country. until then, honest Nigerians will continue to bear the adverse effects.

I'm a firm believer in Karma...what goes around comes around. Put another way, u have to "balance your equation" before you leave this world. So those who spend their time doing evil must surely have evil return to them. There is no easy way about it...it's a law of nature.

sure one can sit down somewhere and criticise those involved in fee fraud (scam), the question is what are u doing about it? Do u descourage those u know doing it, or try to keep away from them? Those doing this things are the so-called "big boys", loved by girls bcos of the way they spend. Everyone wants good things, respect, power and appreciation; in our society u need to have money to achieve all this no matter how u get the money as ofcourse examplified by our leaders. The point is that until we all start doing something about it or even start reporting people then I believe things will change, but it is going to take a lot of time b4 we see the effect. ONE MAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!!

I saw d list of the 135 persons dey said were not eligible for the 2007 elections & everybody on d list are enemies of obasanjo(d world's ugliest president). Nigeria is going down d drain. we need a "messiah"

@azuka...true that
@nilla...i guess u should...
@kingsley..i totally second what uv said..each and everyone of us has to play a part..to put an end to it.It's not just about lamenting here and there..we need to get involved.
@chidi..we definately need a saviour..
@anu...am tired of people always 'using that line' he who has no sin let them cast the first stone..so i should see someone doing something evil and i should close my mouth because i am not entirely sinless too.How now?
You and i both know what they are doing is wrong so we shouldn't even be making excuses for them saying...at least they are not into cult.

Let call a spade a spade,Yahoo Yahoo is becoming a fast growing diesease in Nigeria. It started early in Nigeria about 12years or more in Nigeria, But it really caught the eyes of our ignorant youth about 7years ago,Unknown to them the quick money is a slay on some of their lifes. Some join the squad because they wanted to elevate their poverty but in the end join the league of "Big Fools" getting the money from their various victims and spending lavishly on Club,Cars,Clothes,Girls,they are blindfolded by what they see forgetting that all that glitter is not gold.EFFC as the intial state did a very good job,But the First mistake they made was to increase the browsing fee which would never help matters because the increase on the fee made them angry doing sleepless night at Cafe's for months........making the so cause yahoo yahoo use our local jazz for their so called victim(maga) turning them to dummies using their master remote to control them ......and forgeting to realize what ever evil you do to your fellow man same would be done to you not in not same coin but in a more expensive coin.................I really have to stop here cause i would let alot out cat out of the bag ............My advice for the Government you cannt stop the yahoo yahoo guys by arressting them beacause they would bribe their way out but you could creat a rehabilation centre for them. Make them use their so call brain for something positive.........Peace out

Yep.Its sad that all these is happening. But can we really blame these guys and girls....The question is ...WHO IS TO BLAME ??? If we can find an answer to that.Then just maybe we can solve that problem.
