Elections/B.day wishes/Vtech killings....

I now know how unloved i am, i've been missing from blogville and no one even bothered to find out if i was alive....simply gorgeous u! Josh, olu, law damsel and bimby...na so life be shey?

Happy belated birthday to my friends TRAE and Friday, hoope u both had a lovely day.Wish u many more birthdays to come and God's continual guidance, favour and blessings.

YAMA YAMA ELECTIONS

guess it was too much to expect a successful transition of the gubernatoral elections.I must say i was very dissapointed with the way it was conducted and the officials just did a shoddy job of the whole thing..at my voting centre they were alot more concerned with the food they were distributing to them than actually doing their work.

Long throat!!! i should have kicked the food from the idiots hand...First of all an exercise that was supposed to start by 8:00am started by 1:00pm,i heard in some other places 3:00pm..which was the time it was actually supposed to end.. when i finally decided to go and vote i met a large crowd and had to stand for more than 3hours...while other people at other voting centre's had concluded ...

The official's at mine were(just my luck we were sent retards)was still calling up to 300 names...expecting us to stand and wait for our names...which wasn't the way it was done at other places..because of this...we were delayed and alot of people just got fustrated and didnt vote again..me included...

There were tales of stolen ballot papers, absence of logo's and pic of some candidates, use of fake ballot papers and also illegal extension of voting hours.I have no doubt whatsoever that it was a rig, rig rig and forget urself affair..so voting wouldnt have mattered cause like someone once stated ...it's a selection not an election.

While standing waiting for my name to be called i decided to make small talk with one of our former gatemen i was like "Christian who u dey vote for?" and he was like "Me, i no know o! i just say make i come vote...anywhere my hand touch na im i go vote for"...lol...i chuckled.i asked a couple of other people ad surprising they had the same answers..we had some people holding ballot papers....asking onlookers"Na who make i vote for? talk quick now!"...and people shouting PDP! DPA! LP! FP! AC!....lol...at one point the hungry policeman was like "Woman will u vote and fly away from there, your coming to vote u dont know who ur voting for"...lol

The standing was killing and i've been having some pains in my thighs, legs and waist...u'd think i just turned 71 not 21.The pain was too much to bare and the officials didnt seem like they knew what they came there to do...so i just went home...Only to see in the papers obasanjo saying...the elections were higly sucessful...indeed...if that was sucessful i hate to see how an unsucessful election would look like..

It's so sad that at this age, we can't hold free and fair elections..well when we have politicians who make entering into power a do-or-die affair what do we expect. And it's not as if it's a do-or-die affair becasue they intend to come into power and do something good, and change the state of the nation for the better but because they want to loot loot and do some more looting..May God help naija oh..abi..wetin we wan talk again...we don dey talk for how many years..ever since those voters registration materials were found in Adedibu's compound way before the elections i knew they'd be problems...Inec has failed...PDP has failed...They've all failed Nigerians..and Nigerians are very sad.

The presidential elections are in two days time and i expect a repeat performance of the sham called elections that happened Last week saturday..

Am i voting.....I can't be bothered. They've already choosen their winner...i can't even remember where i threw my voters card..maybe gave it to some guguru and epa seller or something...

VTECH KILLINGS

To more important but sad news....i've been following the Killings at Virginia Tech in the states and May the souls of those dead rest in peace. It is very very sad..this people woke up not knowing, full of life and looking forward to the day not knowing that'd be the last day of their life..so so sad. Saying a lil prayer for those wounded and in the hospital and for their families.

Ex- I am back. Sorry-o for your suffering. PDP- people's disgraced party is a sham. They have installed who they want to install all in the name of naira, fancy cars, prostitutes and oil. Nigeria I cry for you- one day the women who sell food at the roadside, the children who sell garden eggs, the civil servants who have not been paid their salaries, the lecturers who have not been paid their salaries, the homeless, the pensioners, the people who cannot afford adequate healthcare, will one day see a new Nigeria.

This nonsense must stop- in everything that is fair... since when candidates are by force.. Is it by force?

Nigeria needs to stop recycling old candidates, generals, and others who no longer have Nigeria in their hearts.

Nigeria needs a young person, who still believes that Nigeria can be successful and who will uplift its people.

Nigeria I will pray for you.

For the violent act that was perpetrated in Virginia. I wholeheartedly condemn it. My prayers go out to the families and the students whose lives have already been latered by this senseless tragedy.

May God have their souls to rest in peace.

Eiya! I really was embarrassed when I looked @ my phone after classes @ night and saw your unanswered call, cos I knew i've not even said "how fa"? Sha, mabinu and a'o gbagbie!

As for the elections, like really, I got enough talking to that'd have made me go out and vote, but my faith in the whole exercise is just half-baked, if it's even taken to the bakin pan, yet. For now, just enjoying the madness from a distance, and I'll hope it goes peacefully till the handover, even though lives have already been lost and more to come...

We do not die because we have to die; we die because one day, and not so long ago, our consciousness was forced to deem it necessary. I urge all the current student of VA Tech, to concentrate on thier studies and move on, and not be disorganised by this attitude of a wicked mind.
