Me getting ready!!!!
On Sunday I had my second TV appearance, you remember I talked about my first time which was such a fiasco I could have passed off as one of the teletubbies, aptly named ‘plumpy dundy’ , I was determined to make this second time better, redeem myself sort of.
When I got the call to be on ‘Rubbing minds’ on Channels TV to talk about Blogging…this voice in my head that that kept telling me “You’ll mess it up don’t bother’ and almost immediately I called back to tell them I would be there.
Being on TV scares me, its almost like talking in front of a large crowd…I get the creeps. I get nervous…anyways I braced myself and was ready for what would come.
Okay let me say the truth, the real reason I accepted was because I wanted to see ‘naijafineboy’…otan….i have said the truth...lol…when I was told he would be on I was like…hmmm….u know am a fan and it would be nice to see whether the name tallies with the …er…. face…..so what’s my verdict….na fine boy true true….i was even cutting the yeye boy eye he no even ka scopes. Gbenga Sesan was also on the show and it was really nice to meet them both.
All my family members had already arranged themselves in front of the TV and I so didn’t want to mess up and all I could hear whenever Chude asked a question was “WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SHELL” ….because when am nervous DO becomes DOES and GO becomes WENT oh..so I had to really get myself together.
Yeah so everybody said I should have talked a lot more, abeg make una free me jare, I did my best. After a while I got comfortable and wanted to start butting in and over doing it but I just cautioned myself. Next time would be much better I am slowly getting the hang of it, I mean it could have been worse… haba! it was live TV now..anything could have happened. A cockroach could have flown on set and I swear I for dabaru that whole set….no doubt about that but it all went well…
Immediately after we went off air, folks and everybody where calling to gimme their own different different assessment, some said you should have smiled more, you should have talked more, you should have shown more cleavage (clearly from a pervert), but my elder bro just really made my day, he’s not a mushy person but he called me and told me he was really proud of me…aww!!!! Totally made my day!
All in all a great experience.
